Andrew Weakford Coaching

Hi
My name is Andy (He/Him);
I've been in the corporate world for over 20 years, leading and coaching teams to achieve individual goals and become high performing teams. This was always part of my roles which I found the most rewarding. Seeing people develop, widen their comfort zones and achieve their goals, made me really proud of them.

I live outside Reading with my amazing wife and our 4 teenagers. They are fantastic and challenging at times! Coaching has helped me with them whether it be exams, friendship or emptying the dishwasher!

I am a sporty person, playing any sport if I get the chance, mainly cycling, walking and football. As well as playing, I also volunteer as a football coach at my local grassroots football team. I have been coaching my team since they were 5 and now we're playing 11 a side. I’ve coached them to utilise my motto ‘Be the best you can be in everything you do’; this has instilled great values for life with them to take forward.
My Journey
Counting Numbers

My career started out within a blue chip company and a will to become an Accountant. I achieved that back at the start of the 2000's. This set me on a great path, understanding the corporate world within a number of functions.
After 15 years of accounting I progressed into Customer Experience and then Customer Design. My main passion in these roles was Coaching, supporting individuals and building high performing teams.

Be The Best You Can Be

Managing teams led me to start living and breathing my motto 'Be the best you can be', which came from a book by Stephen Covey 'The 7 habits of highly successful people'. I've always found the most rewarding part of my career was developing other people. I want to help people be the best they can be. This was my life for twenty plus years until an opportunity arose to change for the better.

Coaching

I've been privileged to experience the power of coaching in my life, helping me through tough times, highlighting my values and beliefs and getting me back on track with my life goals. When I had the opportunity to further myself, I started the journey towards a coaching profession by completing a coaching qualification with Animas.

The course opened my eyes to the power of Transformation Coaching and how this can really help people make a change in their life for the better. Since making the decision to become a Coach, I've helped many people within several areas - Wellbeing, Careers, Corporate issues, Family life to name a few. I've had positive feedback from each client, citing me as friendly, a good listener, professional, non-judgemental, easy to talk to whilst helping them prioritise their goals.
